GAPS 2022 Conference

GAPS 2022 is the second fully-integrated conference website built for the GAPS (German-American Political Science) conference series, rebuilt from scratch for the 2022 edition. Building on the architecture pioneered with the GAPS 2020 site, this version adds additional features including enhanced membership gating and a more refined registration experience.

The platform handles the complete delegate journey: conference discovery and programme information, abstract submission with editorial tracking and peer review, member-gated content areas, full delegate registration, and secure payment processing — all within a single, cohesive platform.

The design was updated for 2022 to feel fresh and distinct from the previous edition, while maintaining the academic credibility and functional complexity the conference required. This project showcases the ability to build, iterate, and improve complex multi-stakeholder platforms within an established content framework.
